My name is John McMillen and I am the Chief Information Officer for Graves County Schools in Mayfield, Kentucky. It is my charge to build and maintain a state-of-the-art technological environment to support a world class education for our students and those who shape and support their education.

I also host of Music From the Front Porch on 91.3 WKMS in Murray, KY. The show airs every Saturday morning from 10 AM until 1 PM but I am only able to do every other weekend... so check in and listen to the stream at the above link.

I have a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Murray State University.

Take me down to the paradise city… e-rate

I suppose you never truly get too much information on the e-rate program. So I am sitting in on a session hosted by the person who handles e-rate for Metro-Nashville Public Schools. I assume his requests are a bit larger than mine.

He includes his service providers on any PIA Review of the 471 Application.
He responds one last time once the review process is over and requests confirmation that the review is complete.
Remember the deadline of July 1, 2012 to amend Internet safety policy to provide for the education of minors about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking sites and in chat rooms, and cyberbullying awareness and response.
